A Message from the club President
It is an honor and pleasure to serve as President of the Hockessin-Greenville Rotary Club for 2009-2010. Thank you for visiting our website. I hope that you enjoy learning more about our Club and Rotary International.
Over the years I have watched the dedicated members of this Club accomplish great things with their many talents. They are committed to the Rotary pledge of “Service Above Self.” As Rotarians, we are part of a 1.2 million-member organization with 33,000 clubs worldwide. We share our time, our talents, our expertise and our resources to successfully carry out projects that tackle a vast range of humanitarian and social issues, both in our local community and internationally. We share our compassion, our enthusiasm and our commitment to help those in need. And we share an unparalleled passion for service that has made Rotary the world’s premiere service organization.
Rotary International’s theme for 2009-2010 is “The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands.” A successful future for Rotary lies within each Club and its members. My goal for this year is to continue our past accomplishments and to expand our services wherever possible. In the spring we hold our annual 5K Run/Walk - our largest fundraiser. It allows us to assist many local and international projects.
